What is Early Iron?
The Early Iron Club is a group of car enthusiasts that joined together 28 years ago to promote the interest of street rodding. We try to promote street rodding in an environment that is safe, fun, and family orientated.
Our primary function is promoting the "San Luis Valley Early Iron Festival" which is it's 28th year this Labor Day Weekend 2008. The festival, of 300 to 350 cars, is held in the beautiful San Luis Valley, Alamosa, Colorado. The San Luis Valley is highest alpine valley in the world. Bordered on the East by the Sangre De Cristo range and the West by San Juans, with an elevation of 7600'. Requires a little different fuel/air mixture.
